Fangirl Fridays: Announcementz
So here I am, a new month. Last week was crazy. Computer broke down, went away to Virginia, got a new job, bought bootleg Super Buddies action figure collection featuring Spider-Man, Buzz Lightyear, Batman, Superman, and a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle (in the same package, it was awesome).
Still adjusting to the new schedule of the job, and how that fits in with my blogging schedule. Hoping to have that straightened-out by Monday. It involves doing a lot of planning in advance for the week's posts on the weekends.
But far from diminishing the scope of the blog, I only plan to expand it.
My dream is to set up an "Ain't It Cool News" type thing for comics. I realize there are a lot of comic sites like that out there. I never said I was practical. But this is what, ultimately, I would like to do.
Towards that goal, I will have selection of guest-bloggers and columnists. These are writers, commentators, ordinary readers who e-mail me to to kvetch about "Countdown," and industry professionals. It should be interesting, and is already in the works; stay tuned.
I am also far more actively seeking out interviews, and am planning out my content with my copy of Previews in front of me. So what you will see is far more topical comic stuff. There is already a bunch of stuff like that lined up.
By the end of the year I will be taking steps to turn this blog into a full-service Website. I will either do this with financial backing or I will finance my own back.
Through it all, I will make sure that whatever made this blog special will still be there. So no lack of snark from me. And, of course, the occasional anecdote.
As always, I appreciate feedback & suggestions.
Enjoy your weekend,
Valerie
