What Comics Are You All Buying Today???

Though seriously, after all the coin I dropped at MoCCA Art Fest I shouldn't be buying anything.

You may follow along with this handy-dandy new comics list posted at the Friends Of Lulu blog...

And now my picks --

The Goon #25 -- really, one of the best and most consistent monthly comics out there

Penny Arcade trade paperback collection -- possibly

Trinity #2 -- possibly

Young Liars #3 & 4 -- possibly

Complete Little Orphan Annie HC -- OMG!!!!!!! Over 1,000 strips! Holy Crap!*

* that said, the chances of me purchasing a $39.95 Annie volume at this juncture w/my budget not so good

Captain Britain and MI 13 #2

Eternals #1 -- possibly

Skaar Son of Hulk #1 -- okay, how can I pass this up? it's like a mid-70s flashback.

Okay, so what are you all buying????

Any books you want to shamelessly promote?

  6. Trinity
    Clandestine
    Wonder Woman

I was looking forward to Young Liars, but just can't enjoy it. Maybe if it was black ink on bright white paper like Stray Bulletts I'd favor it more.

  10. Newuniversal--What character will modeled after a famous actor in this issue? Still, I'm hooked by the potential of this book.

The Twelve #6--Didn't we get these flawed, dark heroes out of our system already? Maybe not. At times, the characterization is stilted, but overall, it's good, one worth rereading when it's done.

Strangers in Paradise Pocket Book #5

Elemental #1--Auto-pulled but I didn't put it back.

And for my daughter & son:

    Batman Strikes #46

Jake's LoSH in the 31st #15--Book on virtual reality hurt Hulk's head.

    My regret:

Not buying the Programme vol 1 TPB

    Impetuous purchase:
    Big Lebowski Abides tee

I only got BPRD: War On Frogs one shot this week. (Which happened to sport Herb Trimpe as the featured penciler, so if you dig old school artists, you might want to check that out).

Last week, I got Perhapanauts #2 by Todd Dezago & Craig Rosseau. That's probably the best book Image publishes currently, so that's my recommendation there.

No, I don't buy a lot of stuff these days.
