And What Comics Are You All Planning On Buying, Hmmm???

This lovely woodcut print is made by Victor McCay,
who shows you step-by-step on his blog how he put it together

Avengers the Initiative #12

DC Universe #0

Giant Size Avengers Invaders #1 (only if it's new material, not reprint)

Hercules #1 (I have no idea how good this is going to be, but I'm a sucker for another damn Hercules comic)

That's it...so far!

Please share your pull lists, suggestions, etc, etc.

And feel free to consult this handy dandy comics list from Brian Hibbs at the Savage Critics (who calls the entire comics industry "Asshat of the Week" for what he feels to be a less than stellar lineup of offerings, especially on the eve of Free Comic Day on May 3).

  1. FCBD! I forgot all about that!

Oh and I'd pick up PROOF if I were you, but I alwasy say that.

And YOUNGBLOOD, if only because I'm a sucker for punishment and it amuses me that the new monthly guaranteed-to-ship-on-time-honest book is a couple of months late on its third issue.

I may have to pick up Hercules #1 purely for that Steranko cover. Didn't know he was still working!

  3. I'm off to Tokyo where I plan on buying another Love & Rockets volume from those big reprints Fantagraphics is putting out now. They're huge, the stories and art are light years beyond just about anything else... they're just a bargain and a must buy!

    Teen Titans Go No 54
    X-Men Legacy No 210

DCU No 0's price is 45 cents I don't have.

    Let's see...

    Black Summer
    Blue Beetle
DC Universe Zero (for only $0.50? why not)
    Green Lantern
    Iron Fist (woohoo!)
    Ultimate Human

Iron Fist might be my favorite comic at the moment, and I can't wait to get my hands on this issue.

  7. I'm looking forward to picking up the conclusions to Ultimate Human and Elephantmen: War Toys this week.

  8. Ex Machina continues to be a tightly crafted super-hero/political yarn.

Green Lantern continues to be great, although this retelling of Hal's origin really has slowed down the momentum of Sinestro War/ Red Lanterns.

And for some reason I have enjoyed the over the top nutty Uncle Sam and the Freedom Fighters. You can see Morrison's touch seep through Palmiotti's words.

  9. Iron Fist
    New Avengers
    Ultimate Human
    DC Universe Zero
    Teen Titans Year 1
and maybe the Fraction Thor book

Damn, and I have been really good about not buying monthlies...

  10. I'm looking forward to the FCBD issue of Project Superpowers.

I really hope it doesn't rain because I need to be in my supersuits that day for all the kiddies (and grown men who like women in PVC vinyl).

    Very curious about this.

FANTASTIC FOUR TP BEGINNING OF THE END
