Couldn't agree more. DC: NEW FRONTIER has become my favorite series ever. It's bold, iconic and a genius way to re-examine the Greek God mythology of the early DC stories that are hampered by silly limitations and conventions (and censorship) in their original forms.
ReplyDeleteI have an original test painting of Lois by Darwyn Cooke over my editing bay, which is a source of constant inspiration. (His treatment and illustration of Lois is the best ever in any form).
I desperately wanted to go to the Doomsday/DC:NF panel in SD, but alas, editing duties kept me shackled to a windowless office in LA. Ugh...
Any word on how the clips they showed went over? I flipped when I saw the image in the NY Times. Looked awesome...
