Occasional Links, the I Know You Are But What Am I? edition

  • Heroes' Hayden Panettiere has a warrant for her arrest out in Japan, Newsarama reports. In other news, Newsarama readers disappointed the headline "Arrest Warrant Issued for Heroes Hayden Panettiere" did not involve a "Chained Heat" sort of scenario.

  • Have you ever wondered in a battle between Superman & the Death Star who would win? This and other scenarios are pondered (in a most scientific manner) in this informative link.

  • Video: Pee Wee Herman PSA. Scarier than actually taking drugs.

  2. Okay, I just read that "how stuff works" for Supes vs. whatever. I AM NOT PLEASED. "If Superman is immune to the Power Cosmic, then he could beat Galactus." WHAT THE HELL KIND OF NONSENSE IS THIS?????

    Sorry. Inner.Fanboy.Seething.

  3. That first Supergirl outfit doesn't look too bad. The rest? Yikes. And I don't even want to know what's happening in that last one.

On another note, the image of Hayden Panetierre swimming with dolphins is now in my head, and it's disturbing me somewhat that I can't shake it.

  5. Huh.

I thought that my insane aunt was the only person in the world who had an irrational dislike of the word "moist."

She let that one fly at a thanksgiving dinner after someone commented that the turkey was nice and moist and she went off on a "I hate that word" tirade.

Neither she nor the person who wrote the article has given a good reason why.

I'm filing that one under "women be crazy sometimes" and moving on with my life.

  9. My god. I love the word moist. It reminds me of dew and yummy, delicious cake! I thought that Georgia's mom on Dead Like Me's hatred for the word was a brilliant, out-there detail. THERE REALLY ARE "MOIST" HATERS? Madness!

Thanks. I can't get it out of my head now. ;)
