ReplyDeleteCool.
ReplyDeleteFor me, I think I would put Booster Gold and Invincible in the best ongoing series. I'd also put Nicola Scott and Dan Jurgens on the best artist list.
For online comics I'd also put "Penny & Aggie" (both excellent writing and art).
Hey Val, since I had a comic published in 2000 would that mean I'd be allowed to vote? LOL (kidding). :)
I am slowly spreading this information, Val, but would you consider nominating Archaia's SOME NEW KIND OF SLAUGHTER for Best New Series?
ReplyDeleteWe've posted issues #1 and #2 at my website (http://captionbox.net/harveys) for people to consider. With it wrapping up this June, any support would be appreciated!
Read for free, then decide whether it merits a vote. Thanks!
Gawww, thanks Val, I'm flattered! :)
ReplyDeleteI'm a big fan of Danielle's GWS. Go Danielle Go!
ReplyDeleteI like Fishtown too, but who is David Gallaher?
ReplyDeleteHigh Moon and Night Owls definitely deserve the love you are showing them. I would (because I never shut up with the praises for this thing) Also hope that Bayou gets a nod somewhere as well. Those three comics at Zuda are every bit as good as anything put out on a regular basis in my opinion. My only issue is that the slow moving nature of a serialized comic we get updated by the screen is way too slow for me. That is not a negative about the work or the product or the artists, I just need more... faster...
ReplyDeleteI hope GWS gets plenty of love too. It certainly deserves it.

ReplyDeleteHigh Moon updates 4 pages a week, every week. That's at least 16 pages of of content a month.

ReplyDeleteI think that should read 16 pages of QUALITY content a month.
I was mostly saying that I crave more content as quickly as I can get it. There are plenty of paper comics out there that do not keep that regular of a schedule. When I get a floppy, it is say a 22 page story at once, rather than 4 pages a week. It's the difference between watching an episode of Lost all at once versus watching 15 minutes of it every other day. I would feel the same way. What I am saying is not intended as a slight. I am just pointing out... 1. my need for faster than instant gratification and 2. that going to a product that is updated in smaller bites is something that is taking getting used to by me.
Keep up the excellent work! and...
Does anyone know if there will be a Zuda representation at any other Conventions this year? (Pittsburgh, Baltimore or Heroes perhaps?)
I'm very late to this, but no less touched. Thank you.
