This Groundhog Day I resolve not to live the same day over and over again -- but instead use my noggin and capacity for positive change.
Or, having seen my shadow, I might duck back into the apartment until Spring.
A lot will depend on if there are any clean socks.

ReplyDeleteToday is Setsubun here in Japan, where you throw dried soybeans at demons to scare them away and eat maki-zushi (sushi rolls) for good luck.
ReplyDeleteYesterday, I had to explain Groudnhog Day (and Super Bowl Sunday) to some of my students, but the stupid Japanese-English dictionary didn't have a drawing of a groundhog. I had to point to the squirrel, the beaver and the rabbit and say, "It's kinda like all of these... put together."
