Angel: After the Fall #4 Batman and the Outsiders #4 Brave and the Bold #10 Catwoman #76 Checkmate #23 Countdown #10 Death of the New Gods #6 Jenna Jameson's Shadown Hunter #1 Justice League of America #18
GRENDEL BEHOLD THE DEVIL #4 (OF 8) - has been much better than I thought it would be...and I had high expectations to begin with.
UMBRELLA ACADEMY APOCALYPSE SUITE #6 (OF 6) - why are all the apes/gorillas/monkeys in comics being killed lately?
IMMORTAL IRON FIST ORSON RANDALL GREEN MIST DEATH - if the title doesn't get you the artwork will. Mitchell Breitweiser's pencils looked awesome.
RUNAWAYS #29 - more out of habit than anything else. Not the same since BKV left but it is hard to expect someone else to look after your kids exactly the same way you did.
ZORRO #1 - have seen some of Francesco's pencils and am intrigued to see the full colour treatment. Plus Matt Freakin' Wagner
I'm thinking about trying a new book this week, Catwoman (number 76).
I've only heard good things about it since Brubaker (and subsequently Pfeifer) took over, and it just makes me darn sad to see it never break above 100 in the sales rankings. Issue 76 sounds like a good jumping-on point too.
I sure hope they reveal Jackpot's real identity in 551 (COUGHmjCOUGH). If they don't, that'll only alienate me further. . . I think I'll just skim this issue at the shop, and then read the blogs for anything special. Nine dollars a month is painful if all you do is tug at my chain, Marvel.
Birds of Prey! Where is the Birds love??? They always brighten my day.
Batman and the Outsiders #4 The Brave and the Bold #10 Checkmate #23 Countdown #10 Death of the New Gods #6 Justice League of America #18 Robin #171 Zorro #1 Runaways #29
I haven't picked up The Flash since the mid '90s, but I read that this was a stand-alone story issue, and I was missing the character. Although I have to admit, I hate the thought of the 'Incredibles' angle this book has taken on.
BATMAN AND THE OUTSIDERS #4 - Curious about Batgirl's role in this.
ReplyDeleteBATMAN CONFIDENTIAL #13 - Curious about this arc.
ROBIN #171 - Curious about the Spoiler hints.
MIGHTY AVENGERS #9 - Curious about the Skrulls.
RUNAWAYS #29 - Curious as to why this is so f*&^ing late.
ANGEL AFTER THE FALL #4 - Curious as to what this issue's big WTF moment will be.
UMBRELLA ACADEMY APOCALYPSE SUITE #6 (OF 6)

AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #551-Against all odds, Guggenheim brings it.
ReplyDeleteCABLE DEADPOOL #50- A good run comes it a end. Is the rumor of a solo Deadpool book true? That would be the cat's pajamas.
HULK #2- Ed McGuinness art can make Loeb a little more tolerable.
IMMORTAL IRON FIST ORSON RANDALL GREEN MIST DEATH- Orson Randall is one badass dude.
INCREDIBLE HERCULES #114- Things get broken in the issue, or so I was promised.
MIGHTY AVENGERS #9- I'm still reeling from seeing this come out on a regular schedule.
ORDER #8- Gonna miss this one when it's gone.
ULTIMATE HUMAN #2- Warren Ellis writes Iron Man vs Hulk. So far, so good.
ULTIMATE X-MEN #91- Hasn't been Kirkman's finest work.
ULTIMATES 3 #3 - I'm a masochist like that I guess.
WOLVERINE ORIGINS #22- Deadpool is in it! I'm a slave to Deadpool appearances.
HOLY CRAP SOMEONE IS GOING TO BEAT UP IRON MAN? seriously, that happens so often that it was more recently than last Wednesday that it went down.

ReplyDeleteI blame the Zeitgeist. Watch for all robots and ninjas to fall next.
