  1. Wait...people don't like Hulk? WWH I thought was deeply flawed & ultimately impactless, but Planet Hulk was SO GOOD. Red Hulk, whatever, I'll give it a shot. & I can't wait till Skar. Green space Conan? SIGN ME UP.

  4. Great interview, Valerie!
I particularly liked the questioning of why aren't the big budget places hiring the breakout young talent with fresh ideas.

  5. Good interview - hadn't realised that you'd been at Acclaim during that period; I'm one of the few who loved most of their output then - Troublemakers, Turok and Quantum & Woody were all excellent, and the reimagined Shadow Man and Eternal Warriors also stick in my mind. Good stuff.

  7. Nice, informative interview! I was really intrigued with your idea of "how-to" conferences at SDCC for how-to transition out of comics/keep your skillset fresh. Do you/FOL have a real interest in setting up such a workshop? It would be a nice addition to the how-to "break in to comics" events!

    Kinda scary isn't it?

Although technically as you're a youngster, you'd probably be my clone... :)
