ReplyDeleteIt never even crossed my mind that the painting was based on actual models. . .how did the universe not implode after this picture was taken. Has Superboy-Prime been punching things again?
The woman is the artist's sister, the guy is his dentist. The f-ed up thing about that picture is everyone assumes they're supposed to be married, but I think they're really supposed to be father and daughter.

I thought it might be the end to some bad Southern Gothic horror film, and the couple had started out looking like Megan Fox and Matthew McConnaughy, but fell under the spell of the painting in the house they'd just moved into...
ReplyDeleteI understand the farmer was really a warm and personable guy. Very open. Once you got to know him for 30 or 40 years.

ReplyDeleteThat couple in the picture owns that barn behind them in the painting and the publicist who had this photo taken gave a copy to them as a present.
The photo of them standing in front of a painting that depicts them standing in front of the barn now hangs in the barn depicted behind them.
