Jennifer Love Hewitt Regains Right To Be Loved

With her hot new cellulite-free body on the cover of the latest Shape magazine, TV & movie actress Jennifer Love Hewitt has once again regained her status as a human being with the right to be loved and respected.

As you may recall, Hewitt has been plagued over the last couple of years with unflattering photos that revealed she had acquired the normal amount of weight for a woman of her age and genetic heritage. These photos caused an international stir, because they seemed to signal that she was no longer a human being with the right to be loved and respected.

But with the help and encouragement of her current boyfriend Jamie Kennedy, who couldn't stand the sight of any excess fat on a woman that he would deign to call "girlfriend," JLH has finally lost the weight.

Don't worry kids: she's not REALLY drinking any of that milkshake

Brazilian Movie Parody Ads Target Overweight Women

Brazilian Ads for Fit Light Yogurt show parodies of movies like American Beauty & Basic Instinct, substituting a heavy-set woman for the star actresses in each.

The tagline?

“Forget about it. Men’s preference will never change. Fit Light Yogurt.”

Nice.

Good ol' Brazil. At least I know my Brazilian mom's constant nagging about my weight growing up originated from someplace.

And I think the woman in the above picture is beautiful. F**k them.

Is Jennifer Love Hewitt Fat?

So I'm sitting down to have a donut and a cup of tea when I read this on the gossip site TMZ.

It's a picture of a woman in a swimsuit from behind and the caption reads, "Name That Butt"

And I click on the link and it's a picture of Jennifer Love Hewitt with the caption,

"We know what you ate this summer, Love -- everything!"

Is she fat?

That post and a related one have the most wretched comments I have ever read. They are either from eating-disorder cases who say Hewitt should be ashamed of herself for being so obese, or from men calling her a fat pig. Of course, she also had some defenders...especially guys who wanted to prove so much that her butt did not offend them that they offered to...well, you know.

But why I am never reading TMZ again is because as I read those posts, I felt myself having a desire to throw up my donut. I've never had bulimia or threw up my food to maintain my weight, but I just felt sooooo guilty at that moment. I was like: "oh God, I'm eating a donut -- I'm going to become obese."

How many eating disorder cases out there *did* relapse because of your post, TMZ?

Hewitt herself responded on her site:

"I've sat by in silence for a long time now about the way women's bodies are constantly scrutinized. To set the record straight, I'm not upset for me, but for all of the girls out there that are struggling with their body image."

And for the record, I don't think she's fat. Her ample chest is, as far as I know, real -- and it would make sense that the rest of her body, especially as she matured, would be as ample. What's truly unhealthy, in my opinion, is not women like Hewitt, but women who are naturally curvy who diet to the point of being rail-thin -- their still-large heads seemingly perching on their emaciated frames. Case-in-point:

Betty gotta love herself!

Fat, Part Two

UK's The Daily Mail has just run a photo of a very pregnant Milla Jovovich at the premiere of "Resident Evil Extinction" with the catty line:

"Enormous Milla shows what NOT to wear when you are pregnant"

Come now, this woman is just about to drop a baby any second. She's SUPPOSED to be huge.

And it's not like she's wearing a thong bikini.

Which brought to mind this video from Dove's Real Beauty campaign:

And also spurred the following discussion at Casa Del Occasional Superheroine:

Do the idealized "weights" of superheroines in comics influence women as well as those of models in fashion magazines.

I said, "I don't think women take them seriously."

My BF pointed to interviews with female celebrities where they say they can't portray a certain superheroine because their "boobs aren't big enough."

Anyway, food for thought...which, as you know, could be fattening.

Nicole Richie: Only Anorexics Can Attend Her Party

From her party invitation, according to The Daily Telegraph:

"There will be a scale at the front door. No girls over 100 pounds allowed in. Start starving yourself now. See you all then!!!"

Her publicist goes on to tell In Touch Weekly that Nicole was just having a little fun.

Well, that's just awesome.

I'm so glad Richie can stare death in the face like that and just laugh it up. Too bad she's taking down so many teenagers who idolize her with her.

Her dad is the guy who sang "Say You Say Me" and "Dancing On The Ceiling." Doesn't he have any frickin' authority over this chick to make her gain some frickin' weight?!
