ReplyDeleteWell, to be fair, that's rather a stock-pose portrait anyway, it's been around since at least as far back as the silent movie Nosferatu.
ReplyDeleteI know Elayne, but look at the shape of the shadow of this guy's pointy head and how it intersects with the oval -- and where the oval is located!
ReplyDeleteWhen this was pointed out to me on Rich Johnston's site, me and a friend laughed for a half-an-hour. It was a parody end-of-the year column where it said that this cover encapsulated in one image everything I was trying to say in my entire blog. Of course, that's reducing things a bit...but this image is rather priceless.
